SPEECHES

The Legendary Learners have been writing speeches for the first half of this term. We have been learning how to use emotive language to help make our speeches more persuasive. We have also been learning how to group our ideas into paragraphs in order to make our speeches easier to listen to. Our teacher was super impressed with what we have all achieved. STORYBIRD

Our first genre of writing for the year was cameo writing. We learnt about using verbs, adjectives and nouns to make our writing more interesting to read. We also learned about alliteration, metaphors and similes. We went through the process of watching a video on the Amazon rainforest. Then we brainstormed our ideas and turned these into a plan. Next was the draft version where we were able to edit and make changes to ensure that it was interesting to read. Finally we published our work by creating picture books online using Storybird.
